THINGS WERE NOT ALWAYS LIKE THIS..
I was only 16 when I left home and travelled across the country to a strange city.
I had nothing except the rucksack on my back.
This was just the beginning.
Poverty, exploitation and abuse became part of my daily life.
I spent the better part of my late teens and twenties stuck in a cycle of trauma.
What changed?
When I was on the run from domestic violence in 2021, I realised that the only one with the power to change my story – was ME!
I never had any doubt that I’d become a success – the question was..
HOW?
How was I going to change my own life?
I started to make a list and write down all the things that filled my soul with passion.
Art, Magic, History..
Each had been a lifeline during the darkest times of my life and I wondered…
What if I could combine them?
That sparked the idea to create content about history, magic and runes.
Since then, art has been my livelihood.
MY NAME IS BLAIR MCLEOD
People call me The Runemaster because I create captivating content about runes, bindrunes, magic and history.
I’ve written two books on runes and created hundreds of custom art pieces.

Partially Sighted Artist
I was diagnosed with an incurable genetic eye condition called Retnitis Pigmentosa. Over time, I will lose my sight and eventually go blind.
Practicing Pagan
I have been Pagan since my teens. While living in one of the worlds most haunted cities, I discovered my ability to see spirits!
Dog Mom
I have the best boy, a big fluffy German Shepherd called Kaiser. He loves his tennis ball, long walks and cuddles.
PTSD Survivor
I’m very open about my battle with PTSD and mental health because I believe, the more we talk about it – the less stigma there will be.
Proud Scot
I was born and raised in a small rural town in the North of Scotland. We moved around a lot when I was young so I’ve lived up and down the country and experienced many parts of Scottish culture.
Seiðkona
I primarily follow the Norse Pagan path. The word seiðkona is an Old Norse word which translates to : seiðr witchcraft and kona woman.
